Actually, Rotor isn't terribly obvious to me, at least over, say, Axel or
Phillips. (:3 As for 'Miles': well, his full name is Miles Prower.
Think about it for a while, and if that doesn't help, try saying it

Well, it's named Mobius in the game, though it's unclear whether the name
refers to the entire planet or just Sonic's neck of the woods (not
counting, say, the Floating Island of S3&K). When I heard about the
rearrangement of the levels in Sonic 1 for the American release, I
thought of Moebius strips, but I suspect that was an unintended reference...
