Kiken here, well after the falling out between Sega and Dic, chances are
slim that the series will ever have a third season. Sega of America are
putting Bug as their mascot now. So chances are you'll see a cartoon
based on that game soon. As for Sonic, I guess SOA figure that they're
making enough money from current game, merchandise, and liscencing rights
to leave things be. Sega Enterprises are pretty much going the same way,
Sonic is being phased out to make way for newer characters, mainly those
from the Virtua Fighter games (there's already an anime based on this
series, not that its anything to toot a horn at).
I guess its a catch 22 for both companies, they want to keep interest
high on the charatcers but at the same time they want to introduce
new ones so the old ones don't become "boring".
Kiken signing off.
