Don't get me started.
I wouldn't be so quick to write off Sega's interest in Sonic. If I read
Ken Penders' communications to this group correctly, Sega has continued
to seriously look over the shoulders of the writers and artists at
Archie, and have not been shy about making suggestions about "improving"
various stories, including the Sally miniseries.
While this has the down side of looking as if Sega is meddling in the
artistic process (acting as corporate guardians of Sonic's reputation),
it DOES indicate an ongoing interest in the character, whether or not
he/it remains the prime logo.
