SONIC "HOW-TO" (7 February 1995)

This document contains information on things you might want to do
with the software behind the Sonic mailing list. It will be
reposted from time to time. Please read and save for future reference.

All mail messages described in this document should be sent to
majordomo_at_sard.mv.net. The subject line is ignored, but you might
want to use the subject for your reference. The command "end" (but
without the quotes) should be on its own line at the end of your
mail message. A sample message appears at the end of this document.

We are doing three things in this message. First, we are asking for a list
of commands. The list software offers more commands than there are listed
here. Next, we're asking for two files, one is file1.txt and the other is
file2.txt. Finally, we are asking for a list of files we can get, just in
case there might be more files that would interest us. The "end" command
on the following command tells the list software not to expect any more
commands in this message. The list software will send a reply with the
information we requested.
