well, 'units' says that mach 5 is 3707 mph, so this is strong evidence
that the velocity of sound on the Kat world is faster than in our
world, so the kats probably have a denser atmosphere. :)

(actually, mach 6 is 4449 mph, which is suspiciously close to the
number quoted, so it looks like it's off by one.)

good. the US officially went metric in 1976. it's about time someone
noticed. :)
