It ain't easy.
The best place to find the drawings (called ASCII art) is in
alt.rec.arts.ascii -- hang out in that group long enough and you'll find
just about anything. Or you can request others to post drawings they
may know about; that's how I obtained Han J. Lee's ASCII drawing of the
blue blur, which appears in the Sonic FAQ File.
Once I got a copy, though, I had to manually reconstruct it for my own
(giving credit, of course). Kinda tedious, but worth it.
I'm sure someone more adept at file transfers knows a better way.
