New GIFs on ftp.mv.com...

...and my quick comments.

hff.gif: A shot of the Happy Fun Fox. I've seen it before. I'm not sure
if I'd say it looks more like the SatAM or the American comic version.
Pretty icky-looking noise on it, though.

sally.jpg: The first-season version of Sally (sans jacket), probably from
SatAM promotional materials. A little JPEG artifacting, but looks okay.
ANyone got a second-season version?

tails1.gif: New for me, anyway. A quick sketch of Tails in the style of
the SatAM version. Lines are a little clunky, and his fur color's too
dark for my taste, but otherwise decent.

tails2.jpg: Someone else objected to the anime style of the drawing. I
don't agree per se-- I like the rendering of him in the debug screen on
Sonic CD, f'rinstance (anybody got a grab of that?)-- but here I agree
that something doesn't quite 'work'. I think he doesn't look young
enough; he's kinda vertically stretched or something, and looks more like
the teenage Sonic then the cute innocent HFF we all know and love.
tails_guitar.jpg is in the same style, but the proportions are better so
it looks quite nice, IMHO.

On a tangential note: a while back, someone posted the address of an
alternate Sonic GIF site, which I checked out (natch). They had a few
GIFs there that looked like they'd been ripped from the game data; frames
of Sonic running, transforming into Super Sonic, going around loops,
looking bored, that sort of thing. Anybody know (a) what site that was
and (b) who put those GIFs up? I'd like to get in touch with them about
some Tails binrips...
