This game was a no-show at E3. In fact, so was the 3DO.

Screenshot of the character select screen.
Notice anything strange? Yup, that's right, Rain is in the character select screen.
(Um, only 16 characters Kano?:) The dark pic in the top right corner supposedly is Noob
Saibot. As for the pic below Ermac, notice that only 21 of the UMK3
characters are accounted for, missing is Sheeva. That's who I'm guessing it is.
But who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and they'll take her out and put in someone
else instead:)

Screen shot - Liu Kang vs. Classic Sub-Zero
From examining this pic, it looks like the game is being developed by Sculptured
Software (they like to put the character names below the energy bars instead of
inside, this was true for MK1, MK2, and MK3), the same company who did all of the
SNES versions of MK, and also the Genesis and PC versions of MK3. The background
looks nicely detailed, it even has Cyrax wiggling in the sand:)

Hard to believe, but this game made a surprise appearance at the recent E3 show.

This version will probably be the exact same as the N64 with a little toned down
graphics and longer access time.
According to Next Generation, Williams has announced that UMK3 will be making its
way to the Sega Genesis. . I will add more info to this page as it comes my way.
