"Madison Avenue": A Phenomenally Fantastic Mega-Explanation!
>> "greater-than-great" (at least in overblown Madison Avenue ad-jargon).

Er...sorry - USA colloquialism. "Madison Ave." is a street in New York City
which is/was home to many of the biggest American advertising agencies.
Promotion/advertising entities are always on the lookout for the next generation
of "buzzwords" (often bastardized English words, or "straight" words taken
out of context, or adjectives used to describe their various clients' products
that venture into hyperbole - "outstanding!", "phenomenal!", "now with the
new 'Megapower Cleansing Formula'!"). Generally, TV advertising agencies
are barely on speaking terms with reality, and if Germany's TV is anything
like ours, everything from sanitary napkins to kitty litter is touted as the Second
Coming - loudly.
(In fact, when some of us see toys such as those ponies with them manes
in colours unintended by God, we generally dub them "Madison Avenue
Drug Creations". And, um...that isn't the Royal "We" - I have a friend
or two with similar tastes in TV, and we're all kinda eccentric.)
