That is because the very quiet room was about 20 feet by 20 feet.  It

Unfortunately, I missed his story hour... I think that was the day we
went to Six Flags Magic Mountain, and by the time we got back, story hour
was almost over. There was a huge crowd in the lobby listening though :)

I still don't understand the fascination with listening to an old guy
prattle on about the things that have happened to him since last ConFurence.

And Doc Konway is neither old nor fat :P
