for a few months, just no snow.

I can think of many places that are like this:

Pacific NW of N. American (including Alaskan coast)
Central Chilean Coast
British Isles (particularly Ireland)
Norwegian Coast
North and West French Coasts
Northern Spanish Coast
S.E. Australia
New Zealand N. Island, S. Island's Coasts

These are all places where the climate is often cold, but the temperatures
don't usually fall below freezing.  Also, these places usually have a very
wet climate, with the potential for the development of lush subarctic
vegetation.
