Maybe the names also got translated.

That is unlikely, since European given names and surnames have just as much
development history as the languages people speak (given names much more so
than surnames).  Names in many areas of Europe don' exactly have to MEAN
anything.  They once did, but they have been so mutated in their phonetics
and spelling that it is usually hard to trace their original meaning and
purpose.  And many of the names in SK are puns, like Ann Gorra and Abi
Sinian, as we mentioned before.  Even so, many names seem to follow a subtle
linguistic structure.  Gorra looks like it might be Spanish or Portuguese.
Purvis looks like it might be Greek.  I would like to go further into this,
but I can' right now. =^^=
