Has anyone noticed that the Kats don't really act like our cats?

If you mean by not sleeping at our laps and purring?

I mean
assuming that our cats were an early evolutionary step wouldn't they
have at least kept some of the same adaptations or habits?
Ex. Our cats can swivel their ears independly to help pick up
independent sounds. I've never seen the Kats do that...

Although that it would be kinda cool to see it happens, maybe in the
situation just like one of the scenes from "T-Bone Stakes".

That's okay; I do too. Sometimes I wonder why some kats wear shoes and why
some don't,

Almost all of them wear shoes/foot wear, only a couple special few choose
not to wear them in certain activities or it is just shoes aren't part of
their persopnalities.

and under what circumstances they make these choices. I also
wonder if there's some conspiracy to annoy people by subjecting them to
seeing Callie's hideous eyebrows. =~~=

First season or second?

Remember the Kats, like most antropomorhics, are humans in cat suites, and
will generally act like humans, (stupid puns notwithstanding];

Hmmm..... Humans with ears and a tail tacked on?

the characters are written for a human audicence.

Ahem... human audiences? Melissa, Paul. Does your cats also watch SWAT Kats
with you?

Okay, so maybe the characters are written for human audiences, but hey,
cats love to watch them too.

Remerber the literal defination: antro [human], morphic [to change].
"To change into human".

Then what does anthropoid means?

Well, if you look at the times we've seen animated Kat-skeltons or
somebody's gone thru an X-ray machine, you'll notice they have _bones_
up in their ears. Terran cats don't.

The dead kats that the Pastmaster revives in "The Pastmaster Always Ring
Twice" have bones for ears, the Red Lynx himself has bones for his ears.,
even the skeletons in "Caverns of Horror" have bones for ears.

Maybe the producers of the series think that skeleton kats might look much
better with bones as their ears than to have no ears at all.

(For that matter, she's convinced ID4 is a cheap ripoff.

ID4 is an alien invaded the Earth type movie.

"_Computer virus?_ HA! I *rammed* the alien bridge
with my saucer!")

A quick and fast way to get her into the scenes.

Subject: SWAT Kats : Movie, Live Action Or Animated ?

Well, We've Seen The Live Action Movie, It's Called
ID4 ! (Independance Day !)

Jeff Goldblumb (sp) Plays Razor =)

Will Smith Plays T-Bone =)

Next Time You Watch It, Just Imagine Everyone As Kats !
(Loads Of Fun, Everyone Should Try It !)

So The Movie Should Be Animated,

Unless that they are planning to put a lot of humans in the movie, if they
are planning to put humans, then they should do it ala TMNT, and it should
happen on Earth, not on MegaKat City.

And It Should Be
Taditional Animation, No Computers And Stuff Like
That, Unless Absolutly Neccasary !

Well, after thinking it for a long time, I guess it isn't necessary has to
be computer animations or traditional animations, the *quality* is the
important thing. So I guess that no matter how they make it, just as long
that it is good, I guess that it is okay.

(Computer Read-Outs And Junk Like That !)

Hey, what better way to simulated a computer read-outs than doing it on the
real thing? Of course, Mook done a good job on animating those computer
read-outs.

      ID4 ! (Independance Day !)

Actually, I've been making a head-to-head comparison of ID4 vs. "When
Strikes Mutilor" for awhile now. In only 23 minutes and for a small
fraction of the budget, the SWAT Kats version of an alien invasion had
a better plot, better characterizations, more realistic tactics, and
better believeability.

But the plot is still the same, alien invaders come to the planet, the
natives got restless, the aliens start attacking everything, the natives
fight back, the aliens start releasing everything they got, the natives
sneak in to the mothership and manage to stop the invasion.

And that's counting the fact that "Mutilor"
stole the basic concept from "V"

But are you sure that "V" didn't stole it from somewhere else?

(ID4 didn't _have_ ideas, it was
just a collection of special effects strung together).

ID4 has only one basic idea, it is Doomsday for humankind. What the humans
will do?

"When Strikes Mutilor" has one idea, the air (or water) is gone. How do the
kats get it back?

ID4 was a nice action flick, but it was just so mind-boggleingly
vacuum-headed.

It was design to entertain the viewers, not to give them some complex plot
that will probably take five years to finish it. The same also goes for
"When Strikes Mutilor", only that it was given 23 minutes.

See any of a wide number of threads on the various Usenet
SF groups over the summer, that movie had some of the biggest holes
in plot, logic, and military tactics that I've ever heard of.

Well, we have been talking about this in SPACED, and the biggest plot hole
is probably when they uploaded the virus into the aliens' computer.

I'm not going to get into them here, it's off-topic.

Yeah, the list administrator may not like it if we make an off the topic
message.

Zax queries as to whether or not alt.tv.swatkats will accept parodies.
Since that newsgroup is unmoderated, I don't see any reason why not.

Just make friends, not foes. Make your parodies humorous and not offending
to anyone.

Parodies are also welcome on the list, provided they're in reasonably
good taste and as much on-topic as possible.

Er, does this mean cross-overs aren't allowed?
